Know More About
Our Fabrics
We take pride in ensuring that our efforts contribute towards the betterment of the planet, that we produce clothing that supports the environment without compromising on quality and style.
All Natural Shell
Our suits are crafted from certified natural wool suitings. Wool’s extensive properties make it one of the most versatile natural fibers known to mankind. It is an environmentally friendly fabric, which is 100 % natural, renewable and biodegradable.Unlike synthetics, wool is an active fiber. It reacts to the weather to keep the body cool when it’s hot, and warm when the temperature drops. Unlike manmade fibers, wool holds unparalleled features which have been increasingly valued over the last many years. Its resilience, longevity and sustainable origins set wool apart as one of the most globally coveted natural fibers.
Wrapped In Gentle Natural Comfort
All L’Channel suits are lined with Bemberg. It has excellent functionality as lining material, including pleasant feel and an attractive luster. It ensures our suit glides smoothly across the skin and other fabrics without static buildup, and naturally absorbs and releases moisture. Our Suit lining (Bemberg) is made of pure Cupro fiber, which is a regenerated fiber created from cotton linter, a by-product of the cottonseed oil extraction process. Cupro is a biodegradable and compostable fiber made from a natural substance that decomposes organically after use.
Trimming
We only use cotton and horsehair canvas in our suit construction. Our canvas, shoulder-pads, raw materials and other insertions are made of biodegradable materials which are environmentally friendly and fully sustainable.
We use high quality Corozo buttons, mother of pearl and real horn buttons which are sustainably sourced and responsibly made.
Our real horn buttons are produced by utilizing the waste product from the food industry that is fully ethical.
The natural and biodegradable properties of the raw materials we use play a significant role in ensuring sustainable clothing for a better future.
No Mass Production
More than 50% of the clothes produced on large scale go to landfill without being sold, thereby creating a disbalance in the ecosystem of resources. Every L'channel suit is a one-of-a-kind, custom-made piece. We oppose mass manufacturing because it involves an unnecessary accumulation of resources, which disrupts the natural balance.
Longevity
We devote ourselves to heritage workmanship in an industry driven by rapid fashion. We customize modern suits in traditional styles by investing our ability and attention to detail. Our tailored suits and clothing are made to fit perfectly, are more individualized for our valued customers which add value to their wardrobes for years.
We, at L'Channel, often donate to organizations and charities that seek to maintain our ecological balance and combat climate change in order to reduce our carbon footprint. In the process of manufacturing bespoke formal suits for our customers, we ensure the safety and well-being of our employees at the same time, caring for the planet through ecological and sustainable ways.
